U-Drive are excited to announce that Dave Woolven has been promoted to Business Development Sales Manager!
Dave has a well-established background in business development and contract management and has been a member of the U-Drive team since July 2016. He first joined the company as Contract and Leasing Manager, where he was responsible for the leasing side of the business and developing long term rentals, and was recently promoted to Business Development Sales Manager.
Dave will now be involved in sales planning and strategy, as well as leading the team of three Business Development Managers: Steve Fidler, Doug Edwards and Chris Farmer. He is also working closely with Mark Hamblin, Sales Manager, to source new vehicles that are best suited to individual customer needs.
As well as continuing to deal with contract and leasing, Dave is now also leading sales for the rental side of the business too. This includes lots of travelling, as he covers all 15 U-Drive branch locations across the south and in Wales.
There are currently many exciting changes underway that involve reaching out to different types of customers and businesses, which attracted Dave to the role.
“We are developing a much more targeted plan for growing the business”, says Dave. “We are continually developing better solutions for our customers and improving the communication between the branches and the sales team, constantly looking at improving on what we have done before.”
U-Drive aims to support business customers by being flexible, understanding that there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution as every business has different requirements.
“We listen to how a business runs its fleet and then offer what we consider the best solution for them, be it different vehicles, term lengths, lease options or flexible long term rental,” Dave explains. “We really tailor the best solution for our customers’ individual needs and budgets.”
