About the role:
The Human Resources Officer is responsible for delivering efficient administrative support that facilities the smooth running of the HR Department and Organisational Departments and Functions. The Human Resources Officer is the guardian of the administrative procedure, contributing ideas for continuous improvement. Assisting with HR projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
Recruitment
Working with the Team and overseeing the Recruitment process
Managing the recruitment process, confirming job and person specification with the recruiting manager
Prepare and Post Job Role on company Job Boards
Screen and short list applicants for recruiting manager
Positive onboarding of successful applicants
Communicating to unsuccessful applicants at all stages of the recruitment process
Administration
Maintaining HR and Recruitment Records
Maintaining HR Software
Recording Absence and Reporting to Line Managers on Bradford Factor Scoring
Attending Meetings and accurate note taking
Advise on Regulatory changes including National Minimum Wage
Advise Line Managers of best practice in relation to absence, grievance and disciplinary
Provide assistance on Company policies and procedures where appropriate, escalating any issues immediately
Talent Management
Identify Training Needs and Solutions
Manage refresher training
Advise on Talent Recruitment, Renumeration Packages, Rewards and Benefits
Payroll and Benefits
Assist with Payroll Function
Confirming attendance and hours worked
Recording Absence, authorised, unauthorised, furlough, SSP and others
Skills, Behaviours and Attributes
Good level of literacy and numeracy with a minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent grade, A-C or 9-4, including English Language and Maths
Preferably CIPD level 5 or studying towards gaining the qualification
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to deal effectively with change and ambiguity
Driven to achieve results with a positive “can do” attitude
Excellent communication skills, clear, simple and unambiguous and well-structured verbal and written communication and to have confidence in dealing with all areas and levels within our company
