Driver/Valeter

We have an exciting opportunity for a Driver/Valeter to join our team in Fareham. 

This is a permanent position offering £10.92 per hour.

We are looking for customer service focused individuals who hold a full UK driving license and are confident driving a variety of our vehicles. No previous experience is required as full training will be provided.

Working Hours: We have a variety of part-time and full-time hours available, starting from 18 hours per week up to 45 hours per week.

Role Overview:

As a Driver/Valeter at U-Drive, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our branch in Fareham. This position combines driving responsibilities with vehicle valeting tasks, ensuring that our rental vehicles are well-maintained and ready for customer use. Whether delivering vehicles to other branches or directly to customers, your attention to detail and commitment to customer service will be paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive, deliver, and/or collect vehicles to/from branches or customers as directed.
• Clean and valet a variety of vehicles according to U-Drive standards.
• Conduct end-of-hire vehicle checks for damage and report findings.
• Complete drivers' logs and sign in/out of branches.
• Perform Pre-Rental and Post-Rental Vehicle Inspections, reporting faults, damage, and un-roadworthiness.
• Park vehicles in designated areas based on their status.
• Assist customers by showcasing vehicles, explaining controls, discussing equipment, and fuel specifics

Qualifications and Attributes:

• Hold a full and clean UK driving licence.
• Possess a positive "can do" attitude.
• Communicate effectively with individuals at all levels to provide excellent customer service.
• Work well within a team, demonstrating honesty and trustworthiness.
• Prioritize customers and deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Respond promptly and courteously to queries and issues.
