Customer Service Representative

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Representative to join our team in Exeter.

This is a permanent position offering an annual salary of £27,152.80.

Working hours: 45 hours per week on a rota basis.

Role Overview: As a Customer Service Representative at U-Drive, you'll be a crucial part of our team, ensuring the smooth operation of our branch in Poole. This dynamic role involves interacting with customers on a daily basis, handling enquiries, providing assistance, and delivering excellent customer service. You will work closely with the Branch Manager to meet customer needs, manage bookings, and contribute to the overall success of the branch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate quotes based on customer requirements and make bookings.
  • Confirm vehicle bookings and customer needs through phone calls.
  • Administer rental hire contracts and use internal systems for booking processing.
  • Verify customer identification according to insurance requirements.
  • Offer additional insurance products, upgrades, or add-on sales to customers.
  • Check vehicles in and out with customers, explaining hire terms.
  • Process payments and refunds via credit cards and online platforms.
  • Address customer queries and complaints over the phone and in-person.
  • Conduct vehicle checks with customers, noting existing and new damage.
  • Manage vehicle faults, damage, and maintenance needs with workshops.
  • Assist with vehicle deliveries and collections as needed.
  • Aid in vehicle valeting tasks when required.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Hold a full clean UK driving licence.
  • Possess a positive and proactive "Can do" attitude.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and adaptable work environment.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  • Exhibit strong telephone etiquette and communication abilities.
  • Perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
