Exciting opportunity: Fleet Workshop Manager at U-Drive Poole

Join our dynamic team at U-Drive's Poole Head Office as a Workshop Manager! This permanent position offers a competitive salary of £60,000 per year. Hours will be 42 hours per week Monday-Friday 8.00am to 5.30pm, with overtime opportunities available.

As a Fleet Workshop Manager, you will work with our fleet and engineering teams to manage the servicing, maintenance and repair of our fleet vehicles utilising a network of garages, mobile technicians, and third-party service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Working with a Director to establish a strategic network of internal SMR garages and mobile technicians.
  •  Ensure that the workshop operates in line with our safe systems of work, and all legislative and H&S processes are followed.
  • Manage all KPIs, costs, productivity, and compliance measures in line with targets.
  • Manage your team to ensure that the workshops and mobile technicians deliver vehicle management and maintenance, including a robust quality control.
  • Plan and deploy sufficient resources to maximise technician productivity and service delivery expected by both internal and external customers.
  •  Provide commentary on operational performance to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Setting the standards of compliance, behaviours and work ethics that place the customer at the heart of everything we do.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Management and control of all parts use within the workshop.
  • Drive operational excellence against Company standards reducing operating cost, improving efficiencies, identifying, developing, and sharing best practice across the network.
  • Assisting the Fleet Team with technical advice and working with third party service providers.

Requirements

  • A demonstrable and well-established experience level at middle-senior management within an automotive car and LCV bias.
  • Operational Management.
  • Ability to monitor, forecast, budget, and identify financial trends so that appropriate and corrective action is taken when necessary.
  • Familiarity with best practice standards, notable related to Health and Safety, Quality and Environment.
  • An excellent technical knowledge.
  • Analytical, problem solver and results driven.
  • Customer focused approach
  • A full UK driving licence
