New Apprenticeship Opportunities at U-Drive!

4th June 2018 |

U-Drive are proud to announce two new Apprenticeship Schemes opening across their network of 14 branch locations!

With excellent customer service being the key to the success of the business, training and developing employees is a core focus. The family-run business has been so impressed with their accounts and mechanic apprentices, who have developed into highly-valued team members, that they are extending their programmes to the Operations and Fleet Sales departments.

Due to continued growth, U-Drive have partnered with Fareport Training to recruit up to four new Operations Apprentices to join their team. This will be approximately a 24 to 30-month course, with successful candidates studying for qualifications in Customer Service Level 2 and Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship Level 3.

General Manager, Richard Sutton, hopes the new Operations Apprentices will have a long term future at the company:

“At U-Drive, we offer training and career development to all our team members and these new apprenticeship opportunities are an extension of that policy. We are looking for keen, motivated candidates, with a positive ‘can do’ attitude, to potentially become our Branch Managers of the future.”

Key attributes applicants must have include being friendly, organised and proactive, with good communication skills. Alongside their training, duties will include dealing directly with customers, generating quotes, taking bookings and payments, and assisting with valeting and deliveries/collections when required.

U-Drive’s Fleet Sales team are also recruiting for their new 24 to 30-month Business Administrator Apprenticeship. This will include qualifications in Customer Service Apprenticeship level 2 and Business Administrator Apprenticeship Level 3 and will be based at their Poole location. The successful applicant will learn every aspect of the Fleet Department, including preparing and building contract hire quotations; liaising with customers; assisting in the preparation of formal tenders and account managing key clients.

With excellent career prospects for successful apprentices, as well as regular pay increases (subject to age and progress), both of these new U-Drive Apprenticeships offer a great opportunity for anyone considering on-the-job training over full-time education.
