Meet Ronan,  Key Account Manager at U-Drive:

How long have you worked at U-Drive?

Almost 9 years.

Tell us about your career progression so far.

I started on the Graduate Management Scheme, where I spent time in almost every department over a two-year period. At the end of the scheme I was offered an Assistant Manager branch role and went on to become Manager of that branch. 18 months later, I was offered a role in Head Office dealing with short and long-term leasing. Currently, I am a Key Account Manager helping to look after the company’s largest clients in order to maintain our high service levels and grow their business.

What is the U-Drive team like?

I have worked in four different locations at U-Drive over the years and all the teams have been great - it is the friendliest company I have ever worked for. I am currently based in our Poole Head Office and it is a very encouraging and friendly work environment. Our Directors are very approachable and are always open to new ideas.  

Which part of your role do you enjoy the most?

The most rewarding part of my role is the relationships that I have built, both with clients but also our own team members. Once I take on new clients, that is the first aspect I look to build. Once the relationship is strong, the growth will usually follow.

What do you enjoy about working for U-Drive?

I enjoy working at U-Drive as it is an ambitious company operating in a challenging and competitive industry. We believe we are the best solution in vehicle hire and enjoy proving that every day. It is refreshing to work for a company where you can have a genuine impact on the direction of the business. A sense of humour is definitely welcome, as it’s important to have fun where you work, and we do like to!

All in all, U-Drive is a family business with a family feel and we are all pulling in the same direction.
